goodbye 365... not!

i'll be doing a modified version of 365 this year. after looking back at my 2010 photos, i realized later on last year that my zest had dwindled. i don't really take out blair (my cam) out often, so i ended up taking pictures of what-have-yous using my phone.

looking back again at the 2010 photos, i have been taking a lot of shots of food. dessert, meals, anything edible! :)

part of my to-dos for the year was to learn a thing or two related to cooking. serious cooking.

then a light-bulb moment. i've been starting to learn to cook dinner meals now, and been sending photos of them to the boyfie for "proof". i could just post it all here. :D but mind you, i am relatively a newbie at cooking so don't expect french sounding meals! at least not yet.

i'm now starting with compiling the Project 2010 photos, and in as much as the lazyhead in me wants to give it up, i so loved the output that i'm planning to do a monthly (or something more frequent than that) summary of what went on - in photos - black and white and much, much more. wish me luck then. :D

when you're little, a cup of ice cream always does the trick. either to cure the blues, or wash the tantrums away, the sweet rush of energy and happiness that comes after a few scoops always did its magic.

how i wish for even just a scoop today. :|

i've been on dora the explorer mode today. i had time to kill and for a change, i wasn't in a hurry. with that, i decided to go out of the familiar and explore the mall and malls outside further.

i saw and discovered a lot of things - beauty salons, stores, fast food chains, food courts, grocery stores, pharmacies, specialty food stores. and this statue!!!

yes, i know i've been taking a lot of pictures of food lately. K has been calling me the "food photographer" already because it has become a habit for me to take out my phone before i dig in. i've been taking a lot of food pictures lately, and mind you, i don't post them all :D

i've been passing through toa payoh station everyday, and yet i only discovered the "yogurt place" today.

i tried out their froyo immediately. i had the standard sized one, and added coffee beans as topping. they give 10% discount for payments using the ezlink card. it cost me around $4.10, not bad.

red mango is hard to come by, they only have one branch here in esplanade exchange so i always make it a point to try out froyo booths i see. my only disappoint on the yogurt place was the lack of topping options. i wish they had more variety. but oh well, i had my froyo fix and that's what matters... for now. :)

thursdays are days to look forward to. we get a treat in the "western" section of the cafeteria.

people literally line up (and mind you, the queue sometimes get sooo long) for this once a week treat.

i don't buy it every week though. with salad, fries and a huge slice of fish fillet, the serving is just sooo huge!

just another "moment" at work. i was far from busy, and i can't help but admire my new shoes, (which caused me blisters the entire day if i may add).
what can i say? it's fun (though sometimes painful) being a girl!

Project 2010: 163 - pasta cravings

i've been missing carbonara for quite sometime now. since L wanted to meet up, i told her i wanted to eat carbonara. and so, i got my pasta fix @ city hall's foodcourt.

cheese, pepper, ham, pasta - it did cure the craving, for the meantime. i still miss my mom's carbonara though. that, and a lot of other things.
