Project 2010: 27 - it's a girl's world

02.17.10

seeing these lippies just reminds me when i was still at a young age. i would sneak into my parents' room, go to my mom's dresser, and try putting on lipstick.

oh boy, i might have grown older, but i still am fascinated more than ever, with lippies and what have yous :)

Project 2010: 26 - spell temptation

02.16.10

all i know is it comes in different forms and sizes.
today's special: temptation in a tub.

Project 2010: 25 - surprise!

02.15.10

don't you love pleasant surprises? the type you don't expect nor wait for and it just pops out at your doorstep?
mine literally arrived in my doorstep, a few days before valentine's day. like i said, i wasn't really expecting anything so imagine how happy, touched, ecstatic, giddy and giggly i felt when i got this package.

just when you thought you already know what's going to happen or not happen, or just when you though you know what someone could or not do, they surprise you.

needless to say, obviously, it made my day. my week, even. thanks, james. :D

Project 2010: 24 - a confession

02.14.10

day of hearts. our second consecutive valentines day apart. that thought was stamped on my head.

but during valentines day, i got chocolates! :> surprised? were they from a secret admirer? or a friend? who were they from? already dying to find out? :D

but truth be told, i just bought the chocolates from walmart, placed them in the ref. took them out on valentines day, gave it to myself and feigned surprise! :>

it was funny really, and the guys laughed at me for a while. but little did i know i will have a real surprise coming my way.. (to be continued)

Project 2010: 23 - i love pink!

02.14.10

pink bag. pink bonnet. pink gloves.

if you can't decipher anything from that, i don't know what would :D

Project 2010: 22 - for me...

02.13.10
i saw this souvenir at the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH.
and i said, i just have to take this shot. he would've loved that place. :D

... you'll always be my captain :D

Project 2010: 21 - i am starting to be...

02.10.10

Project 2010: 20 - a hint of green

02.07.10

after seeing miles and miles of snow, it's always a welcoming sight to see green. even if it was just a hint.

Project 2010: 19 - autumn

02.07.14

i could imagine autumn. leaves falling off the trees. bright colors. a hint of orange. a dash of green. and of brown. a mixture of lovely colors amidst an azure sunny sky.

sigh... that i'd love to see.

Project 2010: 18 - blast from the past

02.06.10

this shot was taken @ the original KFC store, where it all began. a restaurant and museum in one, it gave me a glimpse of what it was like decades ago when the genius of Col. Sanders came up with finger-lickin'-good. :>

Project 2010: 17 - tunnels and roads

02.06.10

just two things, really:

there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

and,

no matter how long and winding the road is, it will always bring you back home - where you belong.

true, true.

Project 2010: 16 - where dreams come true

Gatlinburg, TN.
Wax Museum. Ripley's Believe it or not Museum. Hollywood Star Cars.
and alot more.

02.06.10

it felt like i was blasted and transported to another realm - a fantasy land, where dreams and fairytales do come true.

Project 2010: 15 - whirls and swirls

02.06.10

time to try out snow tubing.

and t'was an hour of whirls and swirls (and chills!)

but as i think of it now, silly and crazy at it may seem, i had so much fun i wanna do it again..

just one last time?

Project 2010: 14 - always be a child at heart

02.02.10
it was snowing hard the weekend and the night before. so inches and inches of snow have turned into thick mounds.

not letting the opportunity pass, on our way back home, we literally parked in the office premises and found our perfect snow spot.

there we played in the snow. i felt giddy all over, and it was like christmas morn. i glided, slid, made snow balls and even sat on the snow! (it was not enough for snow angels, huhu)

passers-by literally took a double take at us. seeing snow for them was akin to rain for us, i guess. they were probably amazed at grown-ups who made a big deal of what is natural to them. but then, i let out the inner child and didn't had any care for the world.

i guess sometimes, you have to let yourself go and see the world as a kid. more fun that way :D
i sure didn't miss out on mine.

Project 2010: 13 - meet my new bff!

02.01.10

just your typical monday. first day of the week. monday blues. etc. etc.

then a 1-oclock. and before i knew it, my eyes we're drooping. and drooping. i pinched myself. i took down notes. heck, i even made my eyes bigger to see if it would help.

like on a trance, i took down notes and lots of notes. i cannot be without activity and i couldn't certainly look at my mentor for he might notice my predicament.(guilty!).

the clock moved soooo slow as if teasing me. then the hour was up! whew, i rushed and saw a vending machine. and from then on, developed a relationship with my new bff.

it's official. i have developed an official co-dependency on coffee.

Project 2010: 12 - inches deep

01.30.10
on my first weekend here. i was looking forward to hit the outlets for *some* retail therapy!
and note, i say *some* because it's really subjective :))
anyhow, it became a winter storm. bummer. plans were cancelled and i had to stay at home the entire day.
but nevertheless, the storm ended at the afternoon so did a bit of shopping. :P
anyhow, back to the topic.. i made the most of the snow by taking pictures. it was about 6 inches at that time. after i sunk my boots in the snow, i paid a dear price. my feet felt so darn cold!!!

Thursday, February 4, 2010

the red tag

just a little break from 365. :>
list down seven red things that can be found in your home and tag seven people to do the same.

jen tagged me, and so here i am with my seven things. as i'm away from home now, my "red" items are limited. but i tried, searched and found :)

so here goes...

electric outlet. my fave shades. lipstick. paper bags. the beam off the webcam. toothpaste. lan cables @ the office. garment bag.

whoa, i even have 8 instead of 7!

now it's your turn. seven people? i need volunteers. :)

Project 2010: 11 - an artist's palette

01.31.10

sunset.

a wonderful mixture of colors in the sky. dashes and hints of orange, blue and yellow. and lots of colors in between.

for that moment, the sky was one big canvas and an artist splashed colorful paint from the palette all over it.

beautiful. just beautiful.

Project 2010: 10 - signs signs and signs

01.31.10

there you go - a huge, bold stop sign. and you know what to do. SSSTTTTOOOPPP!!!

life's not always like that you know. there isn't a sign to point you or guide you always.
but then again, we trust and have faith. and eventually, we'll be lead where we belong. :>

Project 2010: 9 - roadtrip

01.31.10

we're going a-shopping... we're going a-shopping... again! :D

off to edinburgh, indiana for some retail therapy!

and by the way, that's jay, my teammate behind the wheels. for everyone's safety, i won't even attempt to drive.

Project 2010: 8 - eskimo

01.30.10

bummer. weekend. snow storm.

but then again, better make the most out of it.

when life throws snow, make a snowman! or a snow angel!

i honestly tried making a snow man, but i know i was going nowhere. my hands were numb from the cold and i only curled up a ball as small as those squishy stress balls. and i couldn't dare making a snow angel. there wasn't enough snow to make one - it was just around 6-8 inches. i might end up lying on the ground, with mud all over me for all i know.

and so, i did what i do best. take pictures of myself.

featuring me, as an eskimo! lol :>

Project 2010: 7 - trip downtown

01.28.10

i could not NOT tell this story.

i don't know who suggested it, but it was a spur of the moment thing. "let's go downtown and take tee down to triangle park", one of the guys said. "sure!", i was up for anything.

it was about 10 minutes drive til we reached the destination.

finally, this is indeed the heart of the city. after finding a spot, we found a parking meter. "how do we use this?", we pondered among ourselves. but then again, it said until 5pm so we didn't put in any coins on it. :) anyhow, triangle park was still 3 blocks away.

"it's just nearby, just around the corner." and off we walked. took pictures in between. a few steps, then almost a block. it finally hit us, the bone-chilling cold. we were practically hugging ourselves but managed to say, "we're almost there, just a few steps". my hands, even with gloves on, were starting to get numb. still 2 blocks to go. then the two guys ahead of me, looked at each other then at me, shivered, and defeated, "let's go back".

needless to say it was ala amazing race back to the car. i never saw two guys running fast for their lives. and i never even had a peek of triangle park. :))
